Kalinga University, Naya Raipur, is an accredited University and the only Private University in Chhattisgarh ranked in the Top 101-150 Universities in NIRF Ranking 2024 for the third year in a row. About Raipur - Raipur is the Capital of Chhattisgarh, and New Raipur is the New Capital of Chhattisgarh in the making. Industry Orientation and Leadership - Industry interaction is an integral part of the curriculum, and industrial visits, internships on live projects and mentoring by the Industry Leaders are regular features. The University has developed excellent connections with the top Industries of the region by taking memberships in leading industrial associations like the Confederation of Indian Industries, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Indian Importers Chamber of Commerce and Industry, etc. The University has an active chapter of Young Indians in which students get an opportunity to interact extensively with Industry leaders and attend various corporate seminars and events.

About Dept. of Library and Information Science The Department of Library and Information Science at Kalinga University in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, offers a Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.) course and a Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) program.
Kalinga University offers a 1-year Bachelor and 1-year Master of Library and Information Science program. Kalinga University also offers the Ph.D. Program on Library and Information Science for regular and working professionals.
The objective is to provide education and training in the discipline of Library and Information Science.
